A few words about who we are and what we do |

| “Summertime” is a snack bar located in Georgioupolis, a small village of north-west Crete. Our village belongs to Chania area but it’s actually on the borders between Chania and Rethymno. Georgioupolis is mostly famous for the long sandy beach witch lays for 16 kilometers on the north side of the island, facing Cretan open sea. (It’s the sea that separates the island from main Greece). |  |

| On a small piece of land located on this beach, we decided to create
our family business. This land belongs to our family for many years now,
long before Georgioupolis become a holiday resort. Being sentimentally
connected with this area, where our ancestors
lived and our childhood memories are many, we wanted to fulfil a dream and create a place of work and joy for us. |

The first step began
in 1996 when “Summertime” snack bar
was open for public. Many improvements took place since
then. It’s a snack bar that remains open only for
the summer season, between May and October.
(Summer on Crete lasts long  ). We
tried to create a pleasant environment with materials as closer to nature
as possible and a lot of green. Our goal is to offer enjoyable moments and good service to all our visitors and make them feel the Cretan hospitality, witch is known from our mythology times, thousands of years ago. You will realize that this tradition still remains unfading. |

“Summertime” is a place for every time of the day. Our visitors can enjoy their staying from early in the morning, having breakfast and coffee. We are sure that you will be astonished by the beautiful view of the sea and the traditional St’ Nicolas church built in the water. When the sun goes a little higher and the heat is rising, you can enjoy your swimming on our beach and get your suntan, laying comfortably on our sun beds. The bar and the kitchen are open at any time for something refreshing (fresh juices, ice-creams, soft drinks, cocktails), |
| or something to eat from the variety of our menu and our grandmother’s cooking. The colors of the sky during sunset will impress you and if you are lucky to be to our village during full moon, you will understand why people fall in love with this place. All these special moments you can enjoy in Summertime Snack Bar under the sounds of good music and romantic atmosphere. | |

| The most important thing for us though, after making your holidays pleasant, is to know you better and make new friends. In these seven years we are open, we are happy to say that we’ve made many friends and more happy to see them coming back year after year. We owe to all these people a big thanks for their support and a promise that we will keep trying for their best.
